Our Story
My name is Rizwan, and the story behind The Safe Trim is deeply personal.
Before starting this business, I worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a Sales Executive, primarily in the Hepatology Division. Every day, I interacted with doctors and learned about patients suffering from Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. Over time, I realized how devastating these diseases can be, not only for the patient but for their entire family.
One thing that always stayed with me was that many people only discovered they were infected when the disease had already reached an advanced stage. While some were fortunate enough to receive an early diagnosis and treatment, many others were not. At that time, treatment was extremely expensive, and a single diagnosis of Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or HIV could place an enormous emotional and financial burden on an entire family.
During my professional training, I learned something that changed my perspective forever. These infectious diseases can spread through blood-to-blood contact, and even microscopic amounts of blood can be enough to transmit an infection. As I continued my research and field experience, I discovered that one of the most overlooked sources of cross-contamination was the repeated use of grooming tools in barbershops, as well as improperly sterilized dental instruments.
That realization made me ask myself a simple question:
"What can I do to help prevent this rather than just treat it?"From that day onward, I made it my mission to spread awareness. I educated my friends, relatives, and anyone willing to listen about the importance of personal hygiene and using individual grooming tools.
Later, I left the pharmaceutical industry to pursue my dream of building my own business. At the same time, I began learning digital marketing, believing that education and awareness could reach far more people through modern technology.
Then one day, something unexpected happened.
A friend named Maaz approached me with an idea. He wanted to launch a personal barber kit and asked if I would handle the branding, marketing, and business development. He would provide the product, and we would build the business together as partners.
The moment I heard the idea, I knew this was the opportunity I had been waiting for. It perfectly aligned with the mission that had been growing inside me for years, not just to sell a product, but to protect families by promoting safer grooming habits.
That is how The Safe Trim was born.
Today, The Safe Trim is more than just a barber kit. It represents a commitment to health, hygiene, and awareness. Our goal is to encourage every individual to use their own personal grooming kit, reducing the risk of cross-contamination and helping create a healthier community.
